Pipkin the bunny was all tucked in. The burrow was dark and quiet. Shhh.
Suddenly, a noise. Tap... tap... tap... Pipkin’s ears twitched.
What was that? He pulled his mossy blanket up to his chin.
The sound came again. TAP! TAP! TAP! It was louder this time.
Pipkin was a brave little bunny. He crept down the tunnel. Tip-toe, tip-toe.
The tapping was very loud now! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! It was coming from behind the big rock.
He took a deep breath... and peeked!
It was his daddy! Daddy Bunny was fast asleep, dreaming of yummy carrots.
And his big bunny foot was tapping the rock in his sleep. Thump-thump-thump.
Pipkin giggled. He snuggled up next to his daddy and fell fast asleep, safe and sound.
