Lowercase Letter h Tracing Worksheet
Lowercase h is a tall stick with a hump, like a chair with a back. It shares its first move with b, k and l.
What’s on the lowercase h worksheet
Big dotted h letters, two tracing rows, the words horse, hat, heart and house, and a row to circle h among n, b, k.
How to write lowercase h
Start at the top line and pull a stick straight down to the baseline. Go back up the same line to the dashed line, then make a hump over to the right and straight down to the baseline.
Where h sits on the lines
The stick reaches the top line. The hump sits in the middle space.
What to watch for
Watch the hump: if it closes at the bottom, h becomes b. If the stick is short, it looks like n.
Words to trace

Activity: Chair h
Line up toy chairs or draw them. Show your child that h is a chair with a tall back. They trace an h for each chair and place a toy on each one.
Try this at home
Draw a row of tall houses with sloping roofs and turn each one into an h by adding the hump as a door. It links the tall stick to something your child already likes to draw.
