Vegetable Worksheets for Kids (Free Printable PDF)

A free vegetable worksheet PDF that starts with a learn-first chart of 15 vegetables (photo, name and a fun fact), then lets children match vegetables to their names, circle the right vegetable and trace vegetable names.

Learn-first vegetable chart: photos of a carrot, tomato, potato, onion, brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage, peas and okra with their names

Free for home and classroom use · A4 · 5 pages · PDF, 503 KB

Learn first, then practise

Pages 1–2 of the PDF is a learn-first chart: every vegetable in the set with a clear photo and its name. Look at it together before the activity pages. Say each name aloud, point to favourites and read the fun facts, so your child knows all the vegetables before being asked to match, circle or trace them.

What’s in the vegetable worksheets

  1. Learn first: a picture-and-name chart of all 15 vegetables, each with a photo, the name in big letters and one fun fact (pages 1–2).
  2. Match the vegetable to its name: draw a line from five photos to five names.
  3. Circle the right vegetable: read a name, then circle it in a row of three photos.
  4. Trace the vegetable names: corn, peas, okra, onion, potato and carrot, with space to write.

Play the vegetable quiz first

Children remember names better after they have played with them. Try the vegetable quiz for kids (it works on a phone), then print these pages for quiet practice.

Take it to the kitchen

Bring the chart to the kitchen or the market and tick off each vegetable you can find. Let your child hold, smell and name it. Children are more willing to taste a vegetable they have named and touched.

Printing tips

The learn-first chart looks best in colour. The activity pages print well in colour or greyscale. Choose A4 or US Letter and “Fit to page”.
