What’s on the cursive h worksheet
Cursive H and h to copy, dotted h rows to trace and join, the words hat, hen and horse, and a line for your child’s own h.
How to write cursive h
Start with an undercurve that swings up to the top line. Loop back and pull down to the baseline, then go up into a hump and finish with an undercurve to the right.
What to watch for
The hump of h is often left off, so it looks like a cursive l. Make sure the pencil climbs into the hump.
Joining h to other letters
From the hump, h comes down and curves away to the right. That curve becomes the lead-in for the next letter in words like hen. Practise ha, he and hi, then write hat and hen. Say “loop, then hump”.
