Which flash cards for which age?

Every set includes

  • A learn-first chart with every card on one page.
  • Cut-out cards, 4 per page, with dotted cutting lines.
  • Full-page cards, one big card per page.
  • A swipe-and-tap online viewer with “Say it”.

Tips for flash cards with babies

  • Play, don’t drill: flash cards are for talking and pointing together, not for testing.
  • Two or three minutes is enough. Stop as soon as your baby looks away.
  • Say the word, then show the real thing: the card, then the ball.
  • Card stock and clear tape (or a laminator) make cards last longer.

Frequently asked questions

What age are baby flash cards for?

High-contrast black and white cards suit newborns from birth to about 6 months. Picture-and-word cards like first words, animals and fruits suit babies from about 6 to 9 months up to age 3.

How do I print the flash cards?

Print on A4 or US Letter (choose “Fit to page”). Thick paper or card stock makes them sturdier. Cut along the dotted lines; you can laminate them or cover them with clear tape for little hands.

Should I use the cut-out or the full-page version?

Cut-out cards (4 per page) are easy to hold and save paper. Full-page cards are big and bold: good for newborns, for showing a group, or for sticking on the wall.

Can my baby use the online viewer?

Yes, with you. Tap the card or swipe to see the next one, and tap “Say it” to hear the word. Keep screen time short for babies and toddlers; the printed cards are best for everyday play.

Are these flash cards free?

Yes. Every set is free for home, nursery and classroom use, with no sign-up.
