Math Worksheet Generator: Free Maths Drills with Answers

Make a fresh page of maths practice in seconds: adding and taking away within 10 or 20, missing numbers, 2-digit sums with or without carrying, times tables and division facts. 20 or 30 questions, with the answers on page 2.

Made on your device: nothing is uploaded, no sign-up, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded. Every puzzle is new; tap New puzzle for another.

    How to use it

    1. Choose a skill. Each one shows a rough age, from Add within 10 (ages 4–5) to Division facts (ages 8–9).
    2. For Times tables and Division facts, tap the tables you want (2 to 12). Questions go up to ×10.
    3. Choose 20 or 30 questions. 2-digit sums are set out in columns, the way children write them at school.
    4. Choose A4 or US Letter and tap Download free PDF. Tap New puzzle for a new set of questions.

    Why it helps

Short, regular practice builds number fact fluency, which frees up attention for problem solving later. Because the sheet is new every time, children practise the facts rather than memorising one page.

The skills are carefully separated. “No carrying” sums never need a carry and “with carrying” sums always do, so you can practise the exact step your child is on. Subtraction answers are never negative, division always comes out exactly, and repeats are avoided.

There is a Name, Date and Score line at the top, so children can see their own progress from one day to the next.

    Parent tip

Aim for accuracy first, then speed. Once your child gets almost everything right, time a sheet and try to beat their own time next day; compare them only with themselves.

If a skill is hard, step back one level for a few days. Talk about strategies (“make 10”, “double and add one”) rather than just giving the answer.

    Questions

    Is it free?

Yes. Print as many sheets as you like for home or the classroom. No sign-up and no ads in the tool.

    Is anything uploaded?

No. The worksheet is made in your browser on your own phone or computer, and the PDF is created there too. Nothing is sent to us, there is no sign-up, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

    How do I print it?

Tap Download free PDF and print the file, or tap Print. Choose A4 or US Letter first: the PDF is made at that exact size, so set the printer to 100% or “Actual size” rather than “Fit to page”. The answer key prints as page 2; untick “Add answer key page” if you only want the worksheet.

What is the difference between carrying and borrowing?

Carrying (also called regrouping) is when the ones add up to 10 or more, so a ten moves to the tens column, as in 27 + 15. Borrowing is the same idea in subtraction, as in 42 − 17. Choose the “no carrying” or “no borrowing” skill first.

    Is it “math” or “maths”?

Both! Math is used in the US; maths is used in India, the UK and Australia. The worksheets are the same.

Can I print the same puzzle again?

Yes. Each sheet has a number like #4821 in the top line. The tool remembers your last settings and puzzle on this device, so you can come back and print it again; tap New puzzle when you want a different one.
