Tips for little bird watchers
- Ages 3–4: start with birds you can see outside, like the crow, the pigeon and the sparrow. Point them out on a walk.
- Ages 5–6: talk about beaks: a hooked beak for nuts (parrot), a long sharp beak for fish (kingfisher), a drill for wood (woodpecker).
- Ages 7–8: sort the birds into ones that fly and ones that cannot (penguin, ostrich), or birds of water, farm and forest.
- Wrong answers are fine. The quiz waits for the right one, and only first tries count towards the stars.
