Which books does this map use?

NCERT published new textbooks for Class 1 and 2 under the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (NCF-FS 2022): Joyful Mathematics for maths and Mridang for English. CBSE shared NCERT’s advisory on these books with all affiliated schools in Circular Acad-73/2024 (23 August 2024). Many schools also use other publishers’ books, so check your child’s booklist.

Chapter names were checked against the NCERT books (Joyful Mathematics Class 1 reprint 2025-26 and Class 2; Mridang Class 1 and Class 2) on 23 October 2026. You can read the books free on the NCERT textbooks site.

    How to use the map

    1. Look at which chapter the class is on in the school diary or notebook.
    2. Find it in the table and open the matching printable.
    3. Print Level 1 first; move to Level 2 when it feels easy.
    4. NCERT’s books are activity-led, so do the at-home ideas too: they are often closer to the book than a worksheet.

Parent Oven is not affiliated with NCERT or CBSE.

    NCERT and CBSE worksheet questions

Do CBSE schools use NCERT books in Class 1 and 2?

CBSE asked its schools to follow NCERT’s advisory on the new Class 1 and 2 books (Joyful Mathematics, Mridang and Sarangi). Some schools use other publishers alongside them.

Do your money worksheets use rupees?

Our coins show the values 1, 2, 5 and 10, which match Indian coins, without a currency symbol, so they work in any country.

Not yet. 30 of 35 chapters and units are fully or partly covered. The rest have an at-home idea in the table.

Is there a US curriculum version?

Yes. See our Common Core K–2 worksheet map.
