Lowercase Letter t Tracing Worksheet
Lowercase t is a stick with a crossbar, a little shorter than the tall letters. It is one of the most common letters in English.
What’s on the lowercase t worksheet
Big dotted t letters, two tracing rows, the words tiger, tomato, tent and turtle, and a row to circle t among f, l, i.
How to write lowercase t
Start just below the top line and pull a stick down to the baseline, adding a small curve to the right at the bottom if your style uses one. Lift the pencil and draw a crossbar along the dashed line.
Where t sits on the lines
The stick starts a little below the top line and ends on the baseline. The crossbar sits on the dashed line.
What to watch for
Children sometimes make t as tall as l, or put the crossbar too high. It should look like a little plus sign with a long tail.
Words to trace
🐯 tiger · 🍅 tomato · ⛺ tent · 🐢 turtle
Activity: Tree t
Draw tall tree trunks and let your child add one branch across each, turning them into t’s. Then they add leaves to the branches.
Try this at home
Turn each t into a little cross-stitch by drawing it on squared paper: down one line, then across one line. The squares keep the crossbar level and the stick straight.
